CLAY ROOTS: 3 WEEK MASTERCLASS
Four members of the Island Girls Rock community have completed a three-week pottery intensive led by master ceramicist Ronaldo Wiltshire Ceramicist & Tutor, @motionsofclay
This programme was facilitated by the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society (NHCS) https://www.nevisheritage.org/ and began right here in Nevis with a wider cohort of local participants. Out of that entire group, four IGR members were selected to travel to Barbados for the final stage.
This opportunity means so much because pottery is deeply rooted in Nevisian culture, especially through the legacy of the Newcastle Pottery Cooperative. Participating in this intensive helps to carry local craft traditions forward into the future. For Island Girls Rock, being part of this initiative shows the real impact of supporting and championing girls and women

ROOTED: Stories of Community-Driven Change
Rooted: Stories of Community-Driven Change is a partnership between Island Girls Rock and the Clara Lionel Foundation. We came to this series with a question: what does it look like when change is truly driven by community? Across Season One, we found not one answer but many, each shaped by a distinct place, a particular history, and the specific kind of courage it takes to keep showing up.
An Afternoon of Caribbean Films
Join us for an afternoon of Caribbean storytelling and creativity as we showcase a selection of compelling films from across the region by Island Girls. The programme will feature a curated screening of short films created by Caribbean filmmakers, including works by Island Girls:

There will be music and even a few games there for you to play (or not) - it's all up to you.
Dress code is to be as comfortable as possible - think cozy knits, joggers, fluffy socks...
