Island Girls Rock has teamed up with AdoptaCoastline on an ongoing initiative empowering Caribbean women and girls to deepen their connection with the ocean, champion sustainable practices, and explore creative entrepreneurship—all while advancing SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 14 (Life Below Water) and SDG 17 (Partnership for Goals)

As part of its commitment to holistic empowerment, Island Girls Rock has partnered with Liamuiga Women’s Health to provide girls and women with free and low-cost access to therapists, counsellors, psychologists and coaches - offering therapy, counselling, mental wellness support, and group therapy sessions. This collaboration supports SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-Being), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)

In December 2024, we collaborated with Helen’s Daughters and hosted the St Kitts & Nevis premiere of their powerful film ‘Roots of Resilience: Stories of Caribbean Women in Agriculture’ at the Four Seasons Resort Nevis. This collaboration sparked an ongoing partnership between Helen’s Daughters and the resort, now home to regular FarmHers Markets supporting local women in agriculture.

This initiative aligns with SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) through preserving and celebrating cultural heritage, and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

This year, Island Girls Rock was proud to serve as a lead media partner at the Caribbean Tales Media Group’s Cross-Continental Forum in Barbados, under the theme Decolonizing Co-Production. With our founder Chantal Miller and two mentees on the ground, we provided consistent coverage across social media and our YouTube channel—opening access to the forum’s workshops, plenary sessions, and key conversations, and highlighting voices from the Global South. This collaboration deepened ties with filmmakers across regions and opened new connections, especially amongst Caribbean women in film.

This collaboration aligns with SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
